Older Restriction Notes
Restrictions/Holds in our app
Holds are used to flag accounts and individuals for a variety of reasons. Holds can prevent further funding being disbursed, prevent new applications being created or a combination of both. We also need to account for some restrictions that act as warnings (ex. 1 strike out of 2 in the case of a full time student who does not successfully complete their studies).
Epics
- Hold creation (Types and what they effect)
- Talk to federal system and receive list of restricted users automate holds being added/removed
- Holds manual adding/removal
- Enable ability to automate our system to begin adding provincial holds based on criteria
- Hold display in app and removing ability to do certain things (new applications, complete assessment, receive funding).
Key Decisions Made
MVP
- Federal Holds - Stop everything going forward until resolved by federal agency
- SABC/Provincial Holds - Stop everything until staff decide whether or not hold is account or application specific.
- Ministry staff must approve all holds incoming.
Future:
- Ministry Staff will review new holds sorted by importance and approve incoming change reports (ex. scholastic update from institution)
- Verification
- Academic
- Financial
- Legacy (Shown when an account with a legacy restriction first logs in)
- Federal Holds (View new ones)
- Add more granularity to each restriction:
- Restrict all future applications until resolved
- Restrict future Full-time/Part-time applications only
- Restrict future disbursements for particular
- Restrict ALL funding
Post MVP we need to look at how holds:
- Impact to Interest Free Status
